After exactly 11 days Urs Lötscher and Stefan Bocks without any support and after some grandiosen flights over Pyrenees reached the Mediterranean Sea. For their adventurous bivouac flight they took off at July 30. from Saint Jean de Luz at the Atlantic coast and landed happy at the August 9, only few meters from the beach La Escala close to the Costa Brava. So they completed successfully their bivouac flight over Pyrenees "From Shore To Shore".

Flight over PyreneesDespite permanently strong north wind with appropriate turbulences in these high mountains they were able to fly more than 80% of the total distance 450 km! The rest two enthusiasts had to walk by foot across the wild and lonely mountains of the Pyrenees. About 200 summits are higher than 3000 meters!

Flight over PyreneesVery interesting was final part and last flight to the coast. This morning Stefan had to convince Urs to hike up to a take off and try to glide out into the valley to save some kilometers. The lenticular clouds were forming above them. After taking off they firstly soared along a ridge in the north-westerly wind. A little later the wind decreased and thermals got stronger as we were protected by the massif of Mt. Canigou. Unexpectedly the could climb out and reached 3000m, cheering at the clouds that formed directly towards the sea. They landed now backwards against the sea-wind 4 km before the shore and both hiked the last kilometres to their goal.

As both confirmed, whole bivouac flight was another experience, they had a fun and after few challenging days in Pyrenees mountains was the last day true gift.
